FTC 2015 Final Results

We did it!
A massive thank you to all team mates who participated in the 2015 Fall Team Challenge.
We finished waaaaay beyond our target of 10 million metres with a final result of 10,949,741 metres which is absolutely awesome considering that on the 11th October we had not even reached 10 million!
We also maintained our top 3% standing with 9th place out of 271 world-wide teams!

Onto the individual results:

We had a surprise leader in the top spot after team metre uploads yesterday. Jason who had dominated pole position for weeks got bumped into second place by Matt L at the last minute.
There is only a couple of metres in it though. Well done guys! Impressive stuff and you both made sure ETT secured our top 3% standing!
Matt L wins the most metres prize.
Jason wins the best new team mate prize.

Bill S is the sole member of the half a million metres club. He has been one of the most enthusiastic members of the competition, posting on the ETT blog and Facebook page with encouraging messages and notes. He also achieved an SB for a 30 minute row with a dodgy knee too!
Bill S wins the most enthusiastic team mate prize.

Ken and David are enjoying the prestige of the 400k club. Well done guys you have knocked it out of the park!

Hector, Steve C (with a few injuries), Rob D, Shawn and Jeff K (hit 3 million lifetime metres and has maintained a 60lb weight loss over the past 2 years rowing) have erged an awesome 300k+ metres each over the course of the challenge. Excellent stuff gentlemen.

John F, Andy S, Jeff B, Allan, Rainer, Andy L, Rob P, Gary (his first FTC), Caroline (hit 10 million lifetime metres) and Mark B (hit 15 million lifetime metres AS WELL AS training for his running club) are now partying hard after getting into the 200k club. In reality we are now chilling out and putting our feet up!

The biggest club is the 100k club with the following amazing team mates: Harmut (despite a back injury), Doug, Pongi, (hit 10 million lifetime metres), Andy H (hit 4 million lifetime metres), David H, Mike F (who hit 3 million lifetime metres, 500,000 since a hip operation 9 months ago!), Diggy (even though he was on holiday for 2 weeks of the challenge), Doug, Daniel (finished with 26k on the last day!), Joe S (hit a new 1k PB), Jan, Karyn, Kevin, James, Lucas (with a bad knee and his self titled - operation-get-t-shirts-to-fit task) Neil, Rob T, Luis, Norman (in only 2 weeks!) and Leslie (who only started the challenge on 2nd Oct). Excellent work everyone!

Mike F wins the most hard-core prize for rowing over 100k during this challenge after his hip operation!
Daniel wins the PB / Distance prize for his 26k on the last day of the challenge.

A few members didn't quite make it into the 100k club during this challenge but have rowed a very decent chunk that helped us achieve our top ten position. Nice work Ian, Edward (who has been sailing around the world on a cruise ship and erging in the cruise ship gym in between drinks on deck and sight-seeing), Emma, Les, Jonathan and Thomas.

And of course a big ETT thank you to John B, Andreas, Duncan, Toni, Michael S, Susanne, Megan, Mark, Matthias, Ellie, Neil, Kevin Mc, Xavier, Andrew, Nick, Justin, Dave R, Lisa, Bill, Sarah and Robert A. Without your total group contribution of over 730,000 metres we would not have smashed our best ever result in a team competition!

There we have it ETT'ers.  Our BEST EVER TEAM CHALLENGE since Empty the Tanks was established in 2009. I hope to see you all in the January Team Challenge!

If you have been awarded a prize could you please send me your address and t-shirt size to ett@oddpost.co.uk.
I aim to send out prizes in the last week of October.

FTC 2015 Day 27

We are in the final stretch of the Fall Team Challenge and we have moved up to 9th place out of 271 teams which is brilliant!

  • Most enthusiastic team mate
  • Most metres
  • Personal Best time / distance
  • Best new team mate
  • Most hard-core / bad-ass
Please let me know of any Personal Best achievements or distances rowed so I can consider you for the prizes. E-mail me ett@oddpost.co.uk or leave a message on the Facebook page or ETT blog.

Jason is still in pole position. Keep on rowing hard! You are awesome.

Matt L is holding up second place with some might. Nice work mate.

Bill S and Ken M are keeping each other company in the 400k club. Great stuff guys.

Steve is the sole member of the 300k club this week. Nice job there!

The 200k club has a fine set including: Hector, Rob D, Shawn, Jeff, Mike, Allan and John F!

Gary, Rainer, Jeff B, Rob P, Andy L, Caroline, Doug, Pongi, Mark, Andy H, Doug, Mike F, Jan, Hartmut, Karyn, Neil, Joe S and Norman have all joined the 100k club! Nice one ETT'ers.

Kevin, David H, Diggy, James, Luis and Ian are all in the nearly 100k and should be there by the end of the competition!

And of course thanks to the rest of the team without whose contributions would mean we may not be in the top ten!
Cheers to Rob T, Les, Lucas, Daniel, Ellie, Kevin, Xavier, Andrew, Neil, Nick, Justin, Dave, Lisa, Bill, Sarah and Robert.

Hopefully Esa, Tim, Wayne and Craig will also post some metres before the end of the challenge!

Keep on rolling team. We are doing extremely well.
See you on the other side........ we only have four more days left!
We can do this!

Don't forget to enter a time for this month's CTC - I completely forgot to enter my time last month, DOH! which meant we only had one boat floated in the points rankings.

This month's challenge has been set by the Forum Flyers.
The October CTC is 15 reps of one minute with one minute rests.
